my mum called me this super racy local term for chinese
16 years after my grandma passed and 9.5 years living in western civilization,
I was still downing some stinky chinese medicine.
at least, I was sure I would never overdose!
psst.. psst.. mum, you married one! hahahaha~

I spent the whole day curling on my bed today.
My head was totally burning, but my body shivered.

I was trying to come up with different reason why I got sick, beside running around without a hat 2 days ago.
Maybe I got depressed from a long vacation?
Got out of bed and took a shower.
I needed ingredients for my chicken soup tonite.

I obsessed on my little tail after shower, petting it and all...
Did you know that rats might be multilingual?

Although after shower, I put on socks, a pair of super warm pants, and a layering tee..
The next thing I knew, I was in Kassel!
I met Leonora's father for the first time.
He looked totally Asian, instead of German.
And he spoke fluent Indonesian, supposedly he worked in Indonesia once upon a time.
très bizarre~
I definitely had a fever!
Seemed like I had passed out half way dressing up...

Woke up again and put my warmest coat on.
This time, I made it to Whole Foods and back.

I made a big batch of chicken soup.
And dipped into a hot lemon-scented bubble bath..
Oh, that was soooo gooooood!
It reminded me the snowboarding days in Rochester.
A group of friends were out on the hill for 8 hrs...
And came home to a feast and a hot bath.
The thought of my friends made me warm.
I was in a happy place...

scrubbed my bath again tonite, i could only think...
life had been good to me...
