les meilleurs voeux à idil et ari

I was invited to Idil's engagement party at her friend's house in Pelham.
Behaved as the usual me, took my time to roam around the city before I made it to an important event.
Hence, I missed the train and had to wait an hour for the next one. boof!
Anyway, I had dinner and read an early Sunday edition of New York Times at Grand Central.

Made it to Pelham at 10pm and called a cab.
It was dark and quiet...
The cab picked up another passenger on the way.
It felt a bit weird as I wasn't used to share a cab with a total stranger...

The cab driver dropped me off at the wrong yard.
I was afraid I had to walk in the dark to find the party.
I heard Idil's laughter on the background.
Thank God, it was just right next door.

The party was held in the backyard.
The house was amaaaaaaziiiiiiiing!
A French Normandy style with a semi-circular driveway.

Seemed like I was the only one who made it from our Drawing and Painting crew.
Idil looked amazing in an off-white beaded dress.
Ari was all smily.

Idil was telling the guests the stories of how they met and how he went down on on knees.
They were all very romantic.
The wedding will be held on August 25 in Istanbul.
They looked very happy together.
