adieu~

The plan for today was to check out The Gates before the dye job.
So we got up at 9am and prepared.
Ellen called up while I was in the shower and postponed the job to 5pm. boof!
We decided to go the Met anyway, to check out the gates from the roof.
The weather was perfect, but it wasn't high enough...

Checked out the WILD: Fashion Untamed at the Costume Institute.
They were amazing! Fabulous exotic fur and skin were displayed.

Then we walked to the Modern Art.
Shoko said it wasn't as good as MoMA.
Hmm.. I better go and check it out sometime.
For now, I was captivated by the floating discs...

I also liked the series of color on canvas.
Passed by The Pierre and Maria-Gaetana Matisse Collection on our way out.
Ooh, I found Carrington's self-potrait!
I was here before but I didn't see it.
Perhaps it was before I read The Debutante.
I loved her stories.

We spent the rest of the afternoon in the park walking through the gates.
I was a little sad that comes tomorrow there will be no more little saffron gates...

Had lunch at Le Gamin and Shoko went to Ellen's.
I told her I'd come over later so she didn't have to say good bye now.

I arrived at Ellen's at 9pm.
Shoko's hair looked fab.
She was happy.

Had dinner and drink with her friend, Sho in East Village afterwards.
And said good bye.
We had a good time...
