il est si tranquille..
the day i fall in love with chinatown..
it was quiet
i walked a pace slower..
alone
the air was theatrical..
glare from the neon signs blurred by the cold..

Everybody was out today.
Only 3 of us left for the remaining of the week...
I was falling asleep.
At least Lola was entertaining...
Stepped out to class at 5:30.
Hey, seemed like everybody start their spring break a week early!
There were just 4 of us.
And for the first time, I didn't doze off and even got an idea for a project.
The class finished a bit early.
I was hesitant to go to Chinatown, but I needed to pick some things from the stores.
Called up Novi.. then 竹ちゃん.. nobody picked up.
Hmmm.. I'd never stepped in Chinatown by myself at nite.
Not that it wasn't safe, but I could count with one hand how many time I'd been there by myself, day or nite..
Not my favorite place.
It was 8pm when I arrived on Canal and Broadway.
A bit quiet I thought.
Unusual, but I was totally fine with it.
Found the man who sell fresh tofu on the corner of centre and canal.. hoooray!!!
Novita and I always wondered about when or even where he was about. Lucky!
Walked on Bayard to avoid the crowd..
The crowd? Where were they?
It was warmer than the winter days..
Was it because the green line was off?
Anyway, it was great!
I could even hear the wind blowing.
The asian grocery was closed.
How about dinner at Boky?
Maybe not tonite.. I'd never eaten there by myself.
Got some chincau and caught a cab home...
The whole city seemed so peaceful...
Note to self: fresh tofu, corner of center and canal, 6:30-9pm.
mädchen möchte gerade spaß haben!
