Time Out NY came out with a list of cheap eats a couple weeks ago.
Tonite, a friend and I put it to test.
We went all the way to the East Side for Tab Tos after work -- she cheated and jumped to the Japanese instead of starting in alphabetical order.

The place was very modest: 2 tables inside and 5 outside, all for 2.
It was 9:30pm, but we still had to wait for a table.
Stood by the sidewalk impatiently and drooled at people's food.

We ordered Tab Tos Spicy Rolls which were basically avocado, asparagus, and spicy tuna.
And they came with salad: I had the avocado wakame and my friend had a tuna tataki.
They were amazing!!!
The secrets were all in the dressing and the sauce -- the chef was previously at Nobu.
The best part was it costed $7.50/person.
