gen art
I had a feeling that I wouldn't like my watercolor class, so I dropped and switched to Window Display Design instead.
I was right! W.H. Bailey had interesting ideas!
The class would have a display project every week of different merchandise.
The last half hour of the class, we were out on 5th and rating the windows.
I went to SoHo to check out A.P.C. after class since my friend hadn't return my call.
They had the spring collection out, nothing much changing from last season, but they were irrestible. Darn!
It was hard to leave everything I tried in the dressing room...
It was Friday at 6:45pm.
I received an invitation to Gen Art show since nobody else was going.
I took it delightfully.
A chance to check out a fashion show? That is something that I won't pass!
I arrived a little pass 8.
The check-in line was long, the room was only half full.
A mermaid-like french singer glided on the stage with an accordeon.
She had a close crop gold head wear and a dress with the same material.
I felt like I was on Luc Besson's movie, The 5th Element.
I took a seat and read the booklet.
3 designers would be up tonite.
Vena Cava was these 2 girls from Parsons' Class 2003! Alright!
I actually liked their designs. Simple yet interesting.
Charlotte's designer, Melina graduated from FIT.
She did a lot of leather ruching. The collection was quite Paris Hilton-y -- one of her follower.
And closed by Society for Rational Dress. An LA born designer.
Interesting pieces. Although it would be hard to buckle the crisscrossing leather on the back of the dress yourself.
The show was over in no time.
We decided to drop by at Tao cause her friend was a bartender there.
Had a good chat, drinks and some sushi. yumm.. yumm..
Checked out the after party at LQ.
They were playing hip hop, so we left.
It was a good nite~
Thank you for the invite!
It was great.
We gotta make it to Copacabana sometime soon.
