hitch

what sucks out the life out of you is pessimism!

Chatting with 2 housewives today.

One lived in Jersey.
She was asking me how I thought of her friends who came to visit.
They were nice, but I wasn't into any closed-minded people.
They asked me if I were happier since I got married.
Aren't you?
Not really.
Nothing really changes after I get married.
No excitement.
But you married the man of your dreams, the one you chased so hard in college.
Not everybody can get that, you should appreciate that.
I hated him in college since he was a playboy, but he'd become a gentleman for the last couple of years.
Hmm.. ok.. I'll try to be more optimistic then..

The other one lived in Tuscany. Italy, we're talkin'.
How's marriage life, by the way?
Well.. I'm just about to put dinner on the table for my husband..
and then feed the cats.. a globe-trotting house wife....
poor me~

Ha~ What a life you got there, missy!
I have mastered the art of ironing.. basically anything..
Isn't it supposed to be good to have new skills?

It got me down a little.. everybody was complainin' about being married.
Then why did they?
I felt like it was just a race between girls to change their status, but it didn't mean anything more than that. That's sad!
And at some point they were envy that I was still single.
Well.. I am not a whiner.
I'd done things I wanted to do and gotten what I wished for.
Of course life could be better, but I am grateful for what I have and where I am right now.

I needed a change of mood after that so I went to check out Hitch.
I didn't usually go to see a comedy by myself, because there was no one to chuckle with.
But it was hilarious!
I was laughing a little too much.
Even after the movie, I was still grinning ear to ear on my way home.
A good date movie.
Don't worry guys, not a sappy story.
Plus, you'll have Eva Mendez in your dream~

liebe ist... fühlen und ausführen, nicht zu denken
